Kimberly Mitchell joined First Tryon in April 2026 as part of the firm’s expansion into Florida. Kimberly brings more than 20 years of public finance experience, with a career that spans investment banking, public service, and nonprofit leadership.

Prior to joining First Tryon, Kimberly served as an associate at TRB Estrada Hinojosa, where her work encompassed both underwriting and municipal advisory services. Earlier in her career, she served as Managing Director at Loop Capital Markets and Senior Vice President at Mesirow Financial, where she focused on municipal finance and underwriting. She has also served as an Aide to the Palm Beach County Commission and Staff Director for a Florida State Legislator.

From 2002 to 2015, Kimberly served the City of West Palm Beach as a City Commissioner. In 2016, she was selected to lead The Everglades Trust, one of the nation’s most prominent environmental advocacy nonprofits, where she served for six successful years. Kimberly earned her B.S. from Florida State University, previously held the Municipal Securities Representative license (Series 52), and is currently pursuing her Municipal Advisor Representative license (Series 50).
