DC Prep operates the third largest network of charter schools in the District of Columbia and currently serves more than 2,100 students in grades PK3-8 on six separate campuses in Wards 5, 7 and 8. The mission of DC Prep is to bridge the educational divide in DC by increasing the number of students from underserved communities with the academic preparation and personal character to succeed in competitive high schools and colleges. DC Prep employs approximately 400 faculty and staff, has an annual operating budget of over $62 million and unrestricted liquidity of approximately $40 million (as of September 30, 2023).
