Lourdes Abadin

Lourdes Reyes Abadin joined First Tryon Advisors in April 2026 to lead the firm’s expansion into Florida, bringing over 30 years of public finance experience in municipal advisory, underwriting and community advocacy.
She began her career in the public sector, rising to Deputy Director and CFO of the Miami Sports & Exhibition Authority (MSEA), before transitioning to investment banking at firms including Smith Barney | Citi and RBC Dain Rauscher. She was appointed Comptroller for the City of Miami to help resolve a financial crisis that prompted the Florida Governor to appoint a Financial Oversight Board. Most recently, she led Estrada Hinojosa’s Florida efforts from 2003 until its acquisition by TRB in 2024, continuing to serve with TRB through February 2026. She was honored as one of The Bond Buyer’s “Trailblazing Women in Public Finance” in 2024.
Actively engaged in her professional community, Lourdes is President of Florida Women in Public Finance, a past National Board Member when she chaired the committee that established the organization’s Mentorship Program. She mentors high school girls at risk through the Women of Tomorrow Scholarship and Mentorship Program, serves on the Executive Board of Banyan Health Systems and is on the Advisory Board of the Miami-Dade County Commission for Women.
Lourdes holds a B.S. in Finance from Florida International University, has pursued MBA studies at Nova Southeastern University, and holds FINRA Series 7, 54, and 50 registrations.
