Greg Lovins brings over 30 years of experience in higher education finance and operations, most recently serving as the Vice President of Business and Administration and Chief Financial Officer for Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina. Before his time at Lander University, Greg served for 25 years at Appalachian State University, including 10 years as the Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs, where his responsibilities included budgeting, accounting, purchasing, auxiliary services, public safety, co-chairing ASU’s Campus Master Plan 2020 Committee, supervising capital projects and identifying more efficient and effective campus operating practices. In 2017, US News and World Report ranked ASU among the five most efficient Southern regional universities.

Greg is a Certified Public Accountant and served for five years as an Assistant State Auditor in North Carolina. He has also served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers. Greg received his MBA from Appalachian State University and his BS in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a Municipal Advisor Representative (Series 50).
