Permanent financing to fund the renovation of a 5-story building in New York City for occupancy by Brilla Public Charter Schools, Inc.
In June 2019, Wye River conducted a competitive solicitation for financing of a $12 million project. Seton received 10 competitive proposals from Underwriters and CDFIs and ultimately decided to pursue a CDFI-based financing that provided a conventional fixed rate in the high 3% neighborhood. The financing closed in early January 2020.
As a result of this financing, Brilla and Seton will open another public charter school in one of New York City’s most vulnerable neighborhoods in order to serve children in grades K-5.
